"plan for 2123+" is a narrative design experience incorporating props and audio-visual elements.
It spans from the past to the future, envisioning potential shifts in the entanglement 
between fleas and humans from a futuristic archaeological viewpoint.


It aims to creates a speculative space where humans engage with tiny organisms. Fostering more possible dialogue and reflection between biology and experience design. It prompts audiences' reflection on the significance of these organisms in daily life and explores the link between human activities and species evolution. T
  

Bottle — A living place for actor fleas
In 19th-century flea circuses, flea performers entertained humans with their innate physical abilities. However, this entertainment merely stemmed from the flea's instinctual attempts to break free from constraints, highlighting the contrast between the star and the "prisoner" .

In the 20th century,
 fleas gained recognition as pests due to their potential to carry infectious diseases. However, during World War II, insects like fleas were viewed as instruments for capitalist expansion of power and status. Despite their small size, theywere extensively employed in ruthless biological warfare, which inadvertently reinforced their association with the lower class in human society

in the middle of the 21st century.
 With climate change and environmental degradation, fleas start evolving through natural selection. They no longer serve as vectors for diseases but become creatures coexisting with humans. Consequently, humans begin to accept these once stigmatized creatures. As evolution progresses, individual mutations emerge.

Fossils and excrement for future fleas


In the late 21st century,
 some fleas are speculated to adapt by feeding on human body waste due to food shortages. Consequently, people perceive these fleas as novel health indicators, monitoring their own well-being by observing flea excrement.

In the 22nd century, the perception of fleas has completely changed. Fleas have been domesticated into beneficial roles for humans. Therefore, owning and nurturing an exclusive flea has also become an exciting thing to do.
