Chewing Machine YYL2123

Based on the current food famine and the future refined algae diet environment, potential
future oral problems are projected and envisaged: tooth loss and degradation of chewing ability.
The human oral cavity is unable to chew food properly, in response to the lack of masticatory
perception and food ingestion.

The project uses the body as a vehicle for chewing, combining different body parts and tooth
strengthening exercise , as well as the eating patterns of toothless animals such as platypus,
mosquitoes and snails. By externalising the function of the mouth, the body is used as a vehicle
for mastication, as opposed to handling the food by machines outside the body, so that one can
still physically feel the transmission of the mastication movement throughout the body. (Motor
transmission of muscle sensations/visualisation of the chewing process/changes in chewing
sounds/even the breath of food)
